Great news for Orange County’s nonprofit “little engine that could.” Mercy House has been chosen to receive the highly-sought after Neighborhood Builder award for Orange County, Calif. The agency, recognized for its unique system of dignified housing alternatives, programs and supportive services for the homeless, will receive $200,000 of unrestricted operating support over two years from Bank of America.
Every year, through it’s Neighborhood Excellence Initiative®, Bank of America selects two outstanding nonprofit/charitable organizations in 45 markets to benefit from the Neighborhood Builders Program. Also selected for the two-year funding in Orange County was the Discovery Science Center.
