Kathleen founded Janson Group in 2000, a results-driven practice with a strong and focused commitment to creatively executing on business communication strategies, high-velocity visibility and corporate social responsibility (CSR) for entrepreneurial- spirited companies.
With a shrewd eye for business, branding and communications, Kathleen has successfully served as vice president of global corporate communications for several publicly traded companies, including multi-billion dollar technology distribution giant, Ingram Micro.
Throughout her career, she has assembled award-winning professional teams, and successfully created and implemented strategic corporate communications plans for companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50 in various markets. She is recognized for her proven ability to boost worldwide awareness and reach key infuencers for her clients spanning the technology, political, publishing, healthcare, environment, education and nonprofit markets.
Kathleen brings a wealth of corporate experience to the group following more than 25 years in communications, technology, M&A and general management, as well as hands-on knowledge of the administration of corporate foundations. She has personally led internal and external communications for more than 20 mergers, acquisitions and IPOs for public companies ranging from $135 million to $25 billion.
In late 2008, she formed a strategic alliance with long-time associates Andrew Janson and Howard Benenson to jointly serve advocacy and cause marketing clients.
Kathleen is personally active in the advocacy/non-profit sector, and proudly serves on the board of Mercy House Living Centers, providing housing and services to the homeless, and serves on the organization’s Strategy and Planning committee. She also provides strategic communications services for Alzheimer’s Association, O.C., CHOC Children’s Hospital of Orange County and Soka University of America, among others.
